Promise Scholarship
The West Virginia Legislature has approved funds for the PROMISE Scholarship. The PROMISE Scholarship is designed to encourage good students, regardless of economic status, to stay in state for their college education. Monies equal to the tuition at a public college will be available to students attending private colleges within the state. To be eligible, students must:
Have a 3.0 overall GPA
Have a 3.0 core GPA
Score at least 22 on the ACT or 1020 on the SAT (complete testing by December). ACT sub-scores must be 20 or above; SAT minimums - 480 math & 490 verbal.
FAFSA on file by March 1
Have application submitted by March 1. (Counseling staff will assist if you need help.) The application is available online @ www.wvapply.com
